Description: Underused and under-appreciated laptops decide enough is enough after a tragic accident and take matters into their own keys.
Production:
“Laptop’s Revenge” is DSF’s eleventh film. It was produced in about a two week period as a practice for the film competitions that DSF is involved in throughout the year. As this was a practice we set our own guidelines based around past competitions using ideas in a hat.
Competition Guidelines:
- 3-5 minutes in length (OK, so we went past that one)
- Include the prop: Laptop
- Include the line: “Somethin’ like that.”
- Have the theme: Revenge without getting caught.
The guidelines were chosen in a DreamStalker meeting the night of July 23, 2010. The script was completed that weekend.
About 14 non actor shots were shot over the course of the following week leading up to the full shoot on the night of July 30th. Additional pickups were shot twice all the way up until August 8th.
The film was edited and all composited shots completed on August 6th. Final editing and sound design was completed on the 8th with the final addition of the score by Scott Kos.
The film went live on the night of August 8th, 2010.
